The Problem
Too many calculator sites are built for clicks, not answers
Searching for a mortgage calculator, a BMI tool, or an AI API cost breakdown typically leads to sites plastered with ads, wrapped in paywalls, or deliberately vague — designed to keep you on the page, not to give you what you actually came for.
The Insight
Better decisions come from understanding, not just numbers
A mortgage calculator that shows you a monthly payment but never explains the amortization formula leaves you dependent on the tool. We wanted to build calculators that make you smarter — ones that explain their own math so you leave with genuine understanding.
The Build
calculatorapp.io launches with 10 fully functional calculators
We launched with financial calculators (mortgage, loan, compound interest), health tools (BMI, calories, pregnancy), math utilities (percentage, tip), and something genuinely new: AI developer tools for estimating token usage and comparing API costs across Claude, GPT, and Gemini — all updated with current 2026 pricing.
